Equity and Inclusion Campaign Welcomes a New National Director
The Equity and Inclusion Campaign is pleased to announce and welcome its very first National Director, Louisiana native Adren Wilson. Wilson, a Harvard graduate, comes to the Campaign with a veritable wealth of experience in policy and program development, organizational management and leadership.
As the former Assistant Secretary of Social Services for the State of Louisiana as appointed by Governors Blanco and Jindal, Wilson is poised to spearhead the Equity and Inclusion Campaign's leadership to advocate for fulfillment of the solutions to confront persistent poverty and inequity across Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.
"I am excited to join the fight to ensure that every citizen in the Gulf Coast has a voice in the public policy marketplace," says Wilson "Through new partnerships and strengthening of existing alliances, I am confident that our collective efforts will yield substantial results and lead to greater prosperity for those most in need throughout the region."
The Campaign's Board of Directors enthusiastically heralds Wilson's leadership. "We welcome the high quality vision and expertise that Wilson brings to the work, and look forward to bringing the Campaign to the next level," says Irene Jones, President of the Board.
Wilson's leadership marks the beginning of the Equity and Inclusion Campaign's work as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, independent of the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation (LDRF). "Adren Wilson is an experienced, committed, and battle-tested social justice leader who is perfectly aligned with the Campaign's agenda of long-term social change and empowerment," says Flozell Daniels, Jr., President and CEO of LDRF.
The Campaign's Board of Directors looks forward to welcoming Wilson into the Equity and Inclusion Campaign's unique and diverse membership-driven advocacy work, and the many prospects for success in the days ahead.
With Warmest Regards,
The Equity and Inclusion Campaign
